Pulseo - Heart Rate Monitor & Health Tracker PeoplePark Effective Date: March 30, 2026 Last Updated: March 30, 2026
---
1. Introduction
PeoplePark ("we", "us", or "our") operates Pulseo ("the App"), a heart rate monitor and health tracking application for iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.
Key Principle: Pulseo is designed with a privacy-first approach. All health data is processed and stored entirely on your device. We do not operate backend servers for health data, and no health information is transmitted to external servers.
---
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Health Measurement Data (On-Device Only)
When you use the App's measurement feature, the following data is generated and stored locally on your device:
- Heart rate (BPM) measured via camera-based photoplethysmography (PPG)
- Heart rate variability (PRV) metrics: SDNN, RMSSD, PNN50, CoV
- Stress index (derived from PRV)
- Energy level (derived from PRV and user profile)
- Heart age estimate (derived from heart rate, PRV, and user profile)
- Heart score (overall heart health indicator)
- Signal quality metrics
- Measurement duration, date, and time
- Activity tags (e.g., resting, exercise, sleeping)
- Optional notes added by the user
2.2 Manual Health Entries (On-Device Only)
You may manually enter the following health values:
- Blood pressure (systolic/diastolic in mmHg)
- Blood oxygen saturation (SpO2 percentage)
- Blood glucose level (mmol/L or mg/dL)
These values are entered by the user and are not measured by the device's sensors.
2.3 User Profile (On-Device Only)
During onboarding, the App collects:
- Age
- Gender (male/female)
- Height
- Weight
- Preferred unit system (metric/imperial)
- Preferred language
This information is used to personalize health calculations (e.g., BMI, heart age estimates) and is stored locally on your device.
2.4 Medication Data (On-Device Only)
If you use the medication reminder feature, the App stores:
- Medication name
- Dosage
- Frequency and scheduled times
2.5 Apple HealthKit Data
With your explicit permission, the App may:
Read from Apple Health:
- Heart rate, heart rate variability (PRV), resting heart rate
- Step count, walking/running distance
- Active energy burned, basal energy burned
- Date of birth, biological sex
Write to Apple Health:
- Measured heart rate values
- Calculated PRV (SDNN) values
HealthKit access is requested only when needed and is never required to use the App. The App functions fully without HealthKit authorization.
2.6 Subscription Data
If you subscribe to Pulseo Plus, subscription management is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not collect or store payment information, credit card numbers, or billing details.
2.7 Camera Data
The App uses the rear camera and flashlight solely to perform heart rate measurements via photoplethysmography (PPG). Camera frames are processed in real-time on-device to extract the PPG signal and are never stored, recorded, or transmitted. No photos or videos are captured during heart rate measurement.
For the food analysis feature, photos you select or capture are processed on-device using Apple's Vision framework and Apple Intelligence. Food photos are not stored, uploaded, or transmitted to any server.
2.8 AI Processing Data
AI features (wellness coaches, food analysis) are powered by Apple Intelligence (Foundation Models), which runs entirely on your device. No health data, conversation content, or food photos are sent to external AI services or cloud servers. All AI processing is local and private.
---
3. How We Use Your Data
All data collected by the App is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- Health Tracking: Displaying your measurement history, trends, and health insights
- Personalization: Customizing health calculations based on your profile (age, gender, BMI)
- HealthKit Integration: Syncing measurements with Apple Health (with your permission)
- AI Wellness Coaching: Providing personalized health guidance using on-device AI
- Food Analysis: Analyzing food photos for nutritional information using on-device processing
- Medication Reminders: Scheduling local notifications for your medications
- Subscription Management: Verifying your subscription status via Apple StoreKit
---
4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Local Storage
All health data, user profile data, medication data, and measurement history are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Data is protected by your device's built-in security features, including encryption and biometric/passcode protection.
4.2 No Cloud Storage
Health data is never stored in iCloud, on our servers, or on any third-party servers. We do not operate backend infrastructure for health data storage or synchronization.
4.3 No External Transmission
Health data is never transmitted to external servers, third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.
---
5. Data Sharing
5.1 We Do Not Share Your Data
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal health data with any third parties. This includes:
- Advertising networks
- Analytics providers
- Data brokers
- Marketing platforms
- Research institutions (unless you explicitly opt in to a future research program with separate informed consent)
5.2 Apple HealthKit
If you grant HealthKit permissions, your measured heart rate and PRV values are written to Apple Health. Apple Health data is governed by Apple's privacy policies and your device settings. We do not access or use HealthKit data for any purpose other than displaying health insights within the App and writing measurement results.
In accordance with Apple's guidelines, HealthKit data is never used for advertising, marketing, or data mining purposes.
5.3 Apple StoreKit
Subscription transactions are processed by Apple. We receive only subscription status information (active/expired) through StoreKit, not payment details.
---
6. Data Retention and Deletion
6.1 Retention
Your data is retained on your device for as long as the App is installed and you choose to keep it.
6.2 Deletion
You can delete all your data at any time through Settings > Delete All Data within the App. This permanently removes all measurement history, user profile, medication data, and manual health entries from your device.
Uninstalling the App also removes all locally stored data.
Data written to Apple Health can be managed through the Apple Health app's settings.
---
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The minimum age for using the App is 12 years, as set during the onboarding profile setup.
---
8. Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate any third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking. The only third-party frameworks used are Apple's native frameworks:
- HealthKit (health data, with user permission)
- StoreKit (subscription management, handled by Apple)
- Vision (on-device image classification for food analysis)
- Foundation Models (on-device AI processing via Apple Intelligence)
- AVFoundation (camera access for PPG measurement)
---
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access: View all data stored by the App (visible within the App's history and settings screens)
